Dear friends,
The United Way of Ross County is closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. There is an ongoing investigation to determine more about this outbreak. This is a rapidly evolving situation, and information is updated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) often. At the United Way of Ross County, we are taking extra precautionary measures to ensure the well-being of our visitors, partnering agencies, volunteers, and staff.
During the tax season, the number of visitors to the United Way Ross County’s headquarters is significantly increased. For the safety of yourself and others, we are asking all visitors who are experiencing symptoms of the flu or a respiratory infection or have been exposed to a person with coronavirus or any other communicable disease, to reschedule their tax appointments. We will be posting information on our website and social media channels and following CDC recommendations for sanitizing our public areas. If you are experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus, please seek guidance from your primary physician.
The CDC offers several tips for preventing the spread of viruses, such as properly washing your hands, disinfecting surfaces, and staying home when sick. Please review the CDC’s recommendations to learn how you can keep yourself and your family healthy. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/index.html
We will provide additional updates if the coronavirus situation progresses. The health of our visitors, volunteers, and staff remains our highest priority.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns. If you have questions about resources available to you as a result of COVID-19, or any other matter, please call 2-1-1.
Best regards,
Rick W. Smith Sr. MBA, CFRL
